Calvin L. Cole

Managing Member

With 25 years of professional executive healthcare management, Calvin has an extensive business background in product marketing, strategic planning, new product planning, business development and government relations, both in the States and in international, multi-cultural market environments.  

 

Calvin was the founding partner of CariCord, a cord blood bank that spun out technology from The University of Colorado Medical School Anschutz Medical Center. Developed Business model to disrupt industry in the Biobanking sector. CariCord subsequently merged with Celularity, Inc., in 2018, where Calvin, as head of Celularity’s biobanking business, in charge of operations and business development, and creating new opportunities from industry partners and integrating new acquisitions into existing business units.

 

Prior to CariCord, Calvin was President of StemCyte International, a public/private cord blood bank, where he started a retail division that grew to $27 million in annual sales in 24 months.

Calvin’s prior experience also included product marketing, strategic planning, new product planning, business development and government relations, including over ten years lobbying Washington on consumer advocacy issues, for a large medical equipment manufacturer.

 

Calvin is currently on the board of the Cord Blood Association, an international nonprofit organization that promotes both public and family cord blood banking and accelerates the use of cord blood and perinatal tissues to benefit patients and advance medicine.

James Todd

Possessing a breadth of finance, operational and entrepreneurial experience, Jim is charged with managing all of the company's financial and operational affairs and will engage with the sales and marketing, client services, and medical teams to assist in positioning the company for growth and expansion.

​

Jim was Chief Financial Officer of CariCord, the family cord blood bank established by the University of Colorado and ClinImmune Labs, the only family cord blood bank to operate inside the FDA Licensed Laboratory at the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center.  In 2018, CariCord merged with Celularity, an allogeneic immuno-oncology and placental cell therapeutics company.  Prior to CariCord, Jim was Vice President of Finance for StemCyte, Inc., a cord blood bank with operations in the U.S., Taiwan, and India.

Jim has an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
